I am JJ Birdwell - a father and a husband. An Army veteran and a lover of art and music. I have 4 kids - 3 sons and a daughter. My favorite time is spent with family and friends. I was diagnosed with Diabetes in my 20's and over the last 2 decades it has lead to Chronic Kidney Disease which has now progressed to End Stage Renal Disease and dialysis 3 days a week. I am in need of a kidney transplant to survive and would appreciate your consideration to see if you could be a living donor match. I have been accepted to the transplant program at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. I am now just waiting for a donor - which can take a very long time. My best chance at survival is the blessing of a living donor. With a new kidney I would be able to return to work, enjoy time with my wife, sons and daughter and hopefully live many more years with them.
